Robert Stone will publish his new novel, DEATH OF THE BLACK-HARIED GIRL, in November 2013. The setting is on a New England campus. His last novel, DAMASCUS GATE, was the last one published in 1998.
Stone is the author of seven novels, including "A Flag for Sunrise," "Children of Light" and "Dog Soldiers" (winner of the National Book Award). He also published a collection of short stories in 1997, "Bear and His Daughter," where he was a Pulitzer Prize finalist, and a memoir called "Prime Green."
Mr. Stone's work is known for dark portrayals of American men as they disintegrate under social pressure.
