Richard Lee Byers is the author of approximately forty fantasy and horror novels including the Dungeons and Dragons Forgotten Realms novels as well as scores of short stories. He holds a BA and an MA in Psychology, worked in a psychiatric facility for many years, then left the mental health field to become a writer. A resident of the Tampa Bay area, the setting for Blind God's Bluff and much of his horror fiction, he is a frequent guest at Florida SF conventions and spends much of his leisure time fencing and, as one might guess, playing poker.
