Open Road Integrated Media Announces Six Titles from Chris Raschka Now Available eBooks

Open Road Integrated Media announces the publication of six titles from Caldecott Medal-winning author and illustrator Chris Raschka. All six titles are available for the first time as digital editions and are ready for immediate download to all devices. The Apple iBook, Kobo, and Nook editions include read-along audio, read by Raschka.

Feature titles include: two new Thingy Things bundles, compiling four books each; Arlene Sardine, which follows the journey of a fish named Arlene, who just wants to be a sardine; The Blushful Hippopotamus, about a hippopotamus who escapes his older sister's teasing with the help of a friend; Can't Sleep, about a puppy who finds a friend in the sky to watch over him while he sleeps; and Simple Gifts, a generations-old hymn reimagined in Raschka's bold brushstrokes and warm colors.

Raschka has won acclaim for his striking, minimalist style and his ability to tell a story with just one or two dozen words. His accolades include Caldecott medals for The Hello, Goodbye Window and A Ball for Daisy, an entirely wordless book, and a Caldecott Honor for Yo! Yes? An accomplished violist, Raschka has also written many books about music, including Simple Gifts.
