New Book Reveals the True Path to a Bright Future

Marguerite Bélanger has suffered from body image issues, black sadness and discomfort around men for most of her life. At age 42, Bélanger turned to therapy in order to uncover the past and move on to a bright future. The cause, she discovered, was two rapes at an early age, which her mind had been suppressing for 35 years. Bélanger tells about this simultaneously upsetting and freeing discovery in her new book, "Voyage vers la lumière sur ma route 7-52/My Journey to the Light on Route 7-52."

"This book was created from a personal experience that brought a lot of sadness and pain to my life," Bélanger says. "I realized that my story of coming to the light could help others who are in similar pain."

In the book, which is written in French and English, Bélanger tells of her 52-year journey to self-discovery, which started after the first assault at age 7. She also tells how this eye-opening revelation allowed her to finally move on with her life and achieve the ultimate gift of peace.

"My hope is that the book inspires others to tell their stories of abuse and ask for help," Bélanger says. "Once I uncovered the meaning of my unhappiness, I was finally able to open myself and move forward into a happier, fulfilled life."
