As The Hollywood Reporter uncovered earlier this evening, MTV is set to bring Elizabeth Norris' debut young adult novel, "Unraveling" to its airwaves next year. No cast or writer is attached - though Kevin Cornish (ARE WE THERE YET?) will serve as executive producer
The scripted drama will follow a young girl who, after being hit by a car, believes she actually died. Her miraculous rescuer? A classmate described as "sexy and mysterious" who may also be tied in with an ongoing FBI investigation. It looks as if this might just get the MTV audience roaring.
Should the pilot be picked up for series, it would joing the youth-skewed programs on MTV such as AWKWARD and TEEN WOLF. HarperCollins originally published the novel in April.
