Lessons Learned, a heartfelt love story set against the backdrop of the Appalachian Mountains and intertwined with the timely issue of teen bullying, received more than 200 votes in the Kindle books category. The online awards, which feature both established and emerging authors, are open to the reading public. The Book Awards are a division of Acclaimed Books Limited, a nonprofit publishing group based in the UK.
Peter Lihou, managing director of The Book Awards, offered a personal message of congratulations to Sydney.
"Over the years, we've seen a great many popular titles gain the tangible applause of their fans by their votes and comments, but Lessons Learned enjoys particularly warm support. It really is quite an accomplishment for an author to inspire their customers so much that they get online and vote in such numbers and leave extremely flattering comments. Sydney is a very worthy winner!"
Lessons Learned is available in both paperback and e-book formats on Amazon, B&N, iBooks, Kobo, The Writer's Coffee Shop Publishing House, and the author's website at http://www.sydneylogan.com.

Sydney Logan is an Amazon bestselling author and holds a Master's degree in Elementary

Sydney has a very unhealthy obsession with music, and her iPod is filled with everything from Johnny Cash to Eminem. She is also the author of two short stories: "Mistletoe Magic," available exclusively on Amazon Kindle, and "Stupid Cupid," which is featured in the Romantic Interludes compilation. When she isn't reading or writing, she enjoys playing piano and relaxing on her front porch at her home in East Tennessee with her wonderful husband and their very spoiled cat. Her second novel, Mountain Charm, is slated for a July 4, 2013 release.
