Donna Christie Spotlights the Power of Love and Friendship in BOBBY AND THE WELL

When asked about the theme of her new children's book, "Bobby aNd THe WeLL" (published by Trafford Publishing), Donna Christie circles back to a central theme: love.

"The book is about unconditional love that stretches beyond boundaries," says the Canadian author. "The book is about two different species who are companions for life. Listening to my friend talk about her goat and horse in real life inspired me to write about it. I've always wanted to write a children's book about friendship, learning and love."

"Bobby aNd THe WeLL" tells the story of Bobby, a goat who gets spooked during a fierce thunderstorm and falls into a well. When Archie, a horse, hears Bobby's wails, he jumps to action to save his trapped friend.

Geared towards a target audience of 4-8 year-olds, the engaging children's book includes full-color illustrations, progressive vocabulary and syntax and a morality-driven message. Christie sees the book as the perfect reading material for young readers moving from picture books to chapter books.

"This book will appeal to readers because it doesn't matter who you are or what type of species you are, once there is love for each other, anything can happen," states Christie. "The book has morals that anyone can relate to."
